City Firefly is a bicycle chain lock system that instantly turns into wearable safety gear for urban cyclists.  The lock is worn across the shoulders and is embedded with a lighting strip (EL-Electroluminescence tape) that lights up to increase the cyclists’ visibility.  With the number of cyclists around the world increasing, there is a growing awareness of the necessity to enhance cyclists’ safety.  City Firefly is an innovative blend of function and fashion.  It challenges the present conventional Safety vs Style mindset by making road users aware of the cyclists’ presence in a more visually appealing way.
